Treating Anxiety Disorders

As an assistant professor at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania, I provided expert care to clients with anxiety disorders, supervised doctoral students and medical residents in the field, offered consultation to clinicians in the field, was the director of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) training and consultation programs, and taught at OCD workshops internationally.

Presently, I am an assistant professor within the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. I am a certified Exposure and Response Prevention therapist and Prolonged Exposure therapist through the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania.

I have successfully treated clients with:

  • OCD [presentations include harm, contamination, scrupulosity, “just right,” sexual orientation, and pedophilia]

  • PTSD

  • generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)

  • panic disorder

  • specific phobia

  • social anxiety disorder

  • grief-related disorders

  • perfectionism

  • body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs)

  • misophonia

  • avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID)

I have also worked with clients with ADHD, depression and other mood disorders, disordered eating, and personality disorders.
